Secoges Photographics, LLC has grown to a level never expected in its 29 year history. When I started out as a “freelance photographer” I never dreamed of turning into a corporation that has diversified its services to be able to handle almost any photo or video request. Besides my many corporate clients, I have always kept family-friendly services as a priority. Services such as weddings, family portraits, youth sports leagues, high school seniors and children’s portraits have been the staple of my business for many years.
Today, I am announcing that I purchased Towne House Photography. Towne House was owned by my longtime friend John Powanda. Powanda has specialized in school and children’s portraits for over 40 years (in fact he first took my photo in 1985 while I was attending Holy Name High School). We have discussed this acquisition over the years and finalized it this month.
I feel photography is a very personal business. With this in mind, I made sure I have met every single one of Powanda’s clients in the last year; not only to learn the ins and outs of each school, but to meet the directors, help photograph the kids and in general get a feel for a relatively new market for me. I am excited to transition more of my time to this specialty.
This shift in my business, will also allow me to have more family time. Less weekend work and a lighter summer schedule will enable me to be a more active husband and father. I’m simply looking forward to watching more of my sons soccer games and participating in his scouting events.
